Scott bio

With over 20 years in the commercial arboriculture industry Scott Elbourne is the director of Treeskills Ltd. Scott has enjoyed a full and varied career in arboriculture. Starting out dragging branches and sweeping up he progressed to climbing which has been his specialised area of operations but he has  covered almost all other aspects of tree work along the way from setting the alarms off at Buckingham palace one day to the remote Cumbrian valleys

A varied carreer has included working for Gristwood and Toms Ltd in the south of England for 12 years in a variety of roles and then moving to Cumbria and working for Nomad trees services.  Then working as a self employed contract climber and starting out on the process of becoming a Lantra trainer and NPTC assessor

Scott has led groups mountaineering, through the Scout movement, for over 25 years. A keen climber and mountaineer all his life he has enjoyed giving back to the scout movement by leading groups, mainly in Scotland. A progression through the national governing bodies mountaineering awards from Summer mountain leaders  to Winter mountain leader and attending the 9 day mountaineering instructors training course added a lot of the skills of training people in small groups and passing on essential, practical skills , understanding how to teach and inspire people in the outdoors.

These skills transferred naturally and easily to training the practical skills involved in using chainsaws and climbing trees.

I am more than pleased with the quality of the work undertaken at my new extention.

Mrs B. King - Kendal
